Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Rum
Its alcohol extracts flavour from the peel and fruit while the punch steeps.
Peach brandy
Adds concentrated peach aroma and a touch of sweetness.
Lemon peel
Its aromatic oils give bright citrus fragrance and flavour.
Peaches
Supply fruity sweetness and juicy peach flavour.
Lemon slices
Add acidity that balances the sweetness and spirits.

The step that matters

Steeping for 2 days. Alcohol draws aromatic compounds out of the lemon peel and fruit slowly. Serving early leaves the punch thin and muted, while the full steep builds depth and balanced flavour.
