Pâte À Baba, À LA Crème

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl; reserve 1 cup for the yeast mixture.

  2. In a small bowl, mix the reserved flour with the yeast and a little warm water to create a starter.

  3. In a large bowl, make a well in the center and add the butter, cream, salt, sugar, and 2 eggs.

  4. Mix the butter and eggs with your hands, gradually incorporating the flour.

  5. Knead the dough well, adding the remaining eggs one at a time.

  6. Once smooth, add the yeast mixture and knead for another 4 to 5 minutes.

  7. Stir in the rum and mix well.

  8. Transfer the dough into molds and let it rise until doubled in size.
