Graham Bread

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare a sponge as you would for white bread and let it become very light.

  2. Mix 2 parts Graham flour and ⅓ part white flour with 1 handful of meal and 1 teaspoon of salt.

  3. Wet the mixture with the sponge until combined.

  4. Add ½ teacup of molasses for a loaf of fair size.

  5. Knead the dough until very soft and continue kneading diligently.

  6. Allow the dough to rise a second time.

  7. Do not sift the brown flour.
