Bread, Baltimore Hominy

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Soak hominy in water overnight.

  2. Drain and grind the hominy into a fine paste.

  3. Mix the ground hominy with water, salt, baking powder, and flour until smooth.

  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.

  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown.

  6. Let cool before serving.
