Ingredients

Directions

Prepare

  1. Keep the watermelon in a cool place before serving.

  2. Cut a piece from each end of the watermelon.

  3. Cut the melon in a zig‑zag shape down the center to divide it in half.

  4. Set each half on a dish with a napkin.

Serve

  1. When ready to serve, cut the melon into slices.

Brandy variation

  1. For a variation, cut a plug out of the melon, pour in a glass of brandy, and replace the plug.

  2. Keep the melon cool and turn it occasionally for 24 hours to absorb the brandy.
