Stuffing for Fish

Why it works: Capers and parsley match in chemistry and in kitchens. They rank in the top 1% of all ingredient pairs, and cooks put them together in 1,550 recipes. Both carry coumarin, which smells sweet, hay. The science ↓

Stuffing for Fish

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the cracker crumbs, salt, pepper, chopped onion, melted butter, and pickles or capers.

  2. Mix well until combined. If the mixture is not moist enough, add a little hot water.

  3. Optionally, you can add an egg for richness, but it is not necessary.

  4. Ensure the stuffing is dry before using it to stuff the fish.
