Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Green peppers
Serve as the hollow shell that holds the filling and gives the salad its crisp bite.
Cottage cheese
Forms the creamy, mild filling that sets firm as it chills.
Paprika
Adds mild color and a gentle, earthy aroma to the cheese filling.

The step that matters

Refrigerate the stuffed peppers for at least 1 hour. Chilling lets the cottage cheese firm up so the filling holds its shape when the peppers are sliced. Slicing too early can make the filling crumble or spill out.

Swap the lettuce

How well each one fits the dish's main ingredients (pepper, cottage cheese):

  1. Spinachfits better
  2. Capsicumfits better
  3. Tomatofits better
  4. Lettucethe original
