What each ingredient does

Finely ground coffee
Provides the flavour compounds that the hot water extracts into the brew.
Boiling water
Extracts flavour from the grounds and carries it through the filter into the cup.
Mocha coffee
Blended in to shape the flavour of the coffee, adding its own character to the brew.
Java coffee
Blended in to shape the flavour of the coffee, adding its own character to the brew.

The step that matters

Gradually pour boiling water over the coffee. Pouring slowly lets the water wet all the grounds evenly and extract flavour steadily, while pouring too fast can channel water through and leave the coffee weak or uneven.
