Pie Filling

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pare and slice the apples into slightly salted cold water.

  2. Pack the apples carefully into jars to minimize syrup use.

  3. Pour syrup over the apples as you would for canning whole apples.

  4. Seal the jars with rubbers and tops, adjusting the spring as needed.

  5. Sterilize for 12 minutes, adjusting time based on apple quality.

  6. Do not cook long enough to reduce the apples to apple sauce.
