What each ingredient does

Grapes
Provide the juice and natural sugars that ferment into wine.
Brown sugar
Adds sweetness and feeds the yeast during fermentation.

The step that matters

Letting the mixture stand for five to six days. Fermentation needs time for yeast to convert sugars into alcohol. Stirring occasionally keeps the solids mixed and exposed to air, supporting an even fermentation.
