Caramel Custard
Ingredients
Directions
In a saucepan, combine the loaf sugar and cold water.
Boil until the mixture turns a good brown shade.
Pour the caramel into a plain mold, coating the sides and bottom.
Prepare the custard according to your custard pudding recipe.
Strain the custard into the mold.
Cover with greased paper and steam very slowly for 40 minutes.
Carefully turn out the custard from the mold.
Optionally, pour a little more caramel sauce around it before serving.
