Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare plain cookie dough.

  3. Press raisins or dried fruit onto the top of each cookie.

  4. Dust lightly with sugar.

  5. Sprinkle ground nuts or press nut halves onto the surface.

  6. Bake until golden.

  7. Once baked, coat with plain icing if desired.

  8. Decorate with additional nuts or fruit paste shapes.
