Cardamom Comfits

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 300°F (150°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. Place the cardamom pods in the oven to dry the skins until they break.

  3. Remove the seeds from the dried cardamom pods.

  4. In a large pan, combine the cardamom seeds with gum, starch, and syrup.

  5. Mix the ingredients together using your hands.
