Vases, Baskets, and Other Ornamental Objects, Cast in Rock Sugar
Ingredients
Directions
Soak the plaster of Paris mould in cold water for 3 hours.
Drain the mould pieces for 5 minutes, then assemble and tie securely with string.
Place the mould on a hot baking plate.
Prepare the rock sugar as directed in the previous recipe.
Pour the sugar into the mould and hold a hot shovel on top for 2 minutes to prevent deflection.
Once set, carefully remove the mould pieces and shave off any discolored parts.
