Whole Cherries
Ingredients
Directions
Shorten the stalks of the cherries and preserve them as directed in recipe No. 182.
Drain the cherries in a sieve and dry them in the stove until manageable.
Roll the cherries in your fingers to make them round and smooth.
Apply 4 or 6 dried cherries to each cherry to make them appear larger.
Lay the cherries on tin plates with the stalks upward and lightly dust with fine powdered sugar.
Place them in the stove; the next day, turn and dust them again.
When sufficiently dried, store them in boxes for use.
