Cream Walnuts

Ingredients

Directions

Shape the creams

  1. Roll a piece of cream into a strip about 1 inch in diameter, then cut into 1-inch pieces and roll each piece into a ball.

  2. Place a walnut half on two opposite sides of each ball.

Make the colored version

  1. For a colored version, form a cone of sifted pulverized sugar on a slab.

  2. Hollow out the top and pour in a small amount of pure fruit juice.

  3. Work the mixture into a stiff cream and color it as desired.

Crystallize and serve

  1. Arrange the balls in pans and let them stand for a few hours to crystallize.

  2. Roll out and serve in the same manner as before, allowing them to crystallize.
