Orange Fritters

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the top and bottom off each orange, leaving a little fruit attached.

  2. Using a sharp knife, remove the skin and pith from the sides of the orange.

  3. Cut each orange into four equal quarters and remove the white pith and any seeds.

  4. Place the orange quarters in a bowl, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and add the maraschino liqueur. Toss gently.

  5. Let the quarters sit on a kitchen cloth to absorb moisture before dipping in batter.

  6. Fry the orange quarters in the prepared batter as you would for apple fritters.
