Partially Peptonized Milk

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a clean agateware or porcelain-lined saucepan, combine the peptonizing powder and cold water. Stir well.

  2. Add the cold fresh milk and heat while stirring constantly until the mixture boils, about 10 minutes.

  3. Once cool, strain the mixture into a clean bottle, cork it well, and store in a cold place.

  4. When needed, shake the bottle, pour out the required portion, and serve cold or hot as directed by your physician.
