Mustard Bath and Mustard Pack

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Dissolve the mustard powder in a gallon of warm water.

  2. Add more water to reach the desired volume.

  3. Ensure the water temperature is about 100°F (38°C), raising it to 105°F (40°C) if needed.

  4. Soak in the bath for about 10 minutes, rubbing the skin.

  5. Rinse with lukewarm water, dry quickly, wrap in a blanket, and rest.

  6. For the mustard pack, wring a blanket out in the prepared water.

  7. Wrap the naked child in the blanket and leave until the skin is reddened (10-20 minutes).

  8. Wash off with warm water, then rinse with lukewarm water, dry, and put to bed without dressing.
