Mustard Bath and Mustard Pack
Ingredients
Directions
Dissolve the mustard powder in 1 gallon of warm water.
Add more water to reach the desired temperature of about 100°F (38°C).
For a mustard pack, use a smaller quantity of water prepared the same way.
Soak a blanket in the mustard water and wrap the naked child in it.
Leave the child in the pack until the skin is reddened, about 10 to 20 minutes.
Wash off with warm water, then rinse with lukewarm water, dry, and put to bed without dressing.
