Almond Custard

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. In a saucepan, heat milk and sugar until dissolved.

  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs and almond extract together.

  3. Slowly add the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture, stirring constantly.

  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.

  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) until set.

  6. Let cool before serving.
