Apple Turnovers

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the rich pastry dough and cut it into rounds with scalloped edges.

  3. Place a spoonful of apple marmalade in the center of each round.

  4. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges.

  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and dip in granulated sugar.

  6. Bake until golden and glazed.
