To Preserve Milk

Ingredients

• clean bottles
• milk

Directions

1. Ensure bottles are perfectly clean, sweet, and dry.

2. Pour fresh milk into the bottles and cork them tightly.

3. Secure the corks with pack thread or wire.

4. Place straw in the bottom of a boiler and arrange the bottles with straw between them.

5. Fill the boiler with cold water and heat until it begins to boil.

6. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

7. Once cold, pack the bottles with straw or sawdust in hampers.
