What each ingredient does
- Knox sparkling gelatine
- Sets the milk into a jelly-like texture once dissolved and chilled.
- Cold milk
- Forms the body of the dish and is the liquid the gelatine sets in.
The step that matters
Dissolving the gelatine fully. Gelatine must be completely dissolved before it is combined with the milk. Undissolved granules can remain as specks or weak spots, so the mixture needs to be stirred until clear and smooth.
