Mustard Poultice
Ingredients
Directions
Heat a basin, knife, and flannel.
Sprinkle crushed linseed in the basin and stir well.
Pour boiling water over the linseed and mix until soft and firm.
Spread the mixture on the flannel, leaving a 1-inch margin.
Pour a little oil over the surface, lay it on the skin, and cover with cotton wool.
Bandage with a broad strip of flannel.
If making a mustard poultice, add 1-2 tablespoons of dry mustard to the linseed mixture and mix well.
