Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Chicken breasts
Provide the main protein, which turns tender and firm as it cooks through in the butter.
Heavy whipping cream
Adds richness and a smooth, silky texture that coats the pasta.
Linguine
Forms the base of the dish, carrying the sauce on its surface.
Parmesan cheese
Adds savory, salty flavor and helps thicken the sauce as it melts.
Sun-dried tomatoes
Contribute concentrated, tangy flavor and chewy texture.

The step that matters

Reduce heat before adding the cream. Cream can curdle or separate when it boils hard, so it should be warmed gently over lower heat until just heated through.

Swap the basil

  1. Thymefits better
