Carefully dip just bottom of pan into warm water for 15 seconds.

Explore the science
What each ingredient does
- Gelatin dessert powder
- Sets the liquid into a firm, sliceable base when chilled.
- Boiling water
- Dissolves the gelatin powder so it can set evenly.
- Cool whip
- Adds a light, creamy topping that softens the set gelatin's sweetness.
- Cut-up fruit
- Adds fresh flavor, color and a contrasting juicy texture on top.
The step that matters
Dip the pan briefly in warm water. A short, gentle warm dip loosens the gelatin from the pan without melting its surface. Longer heating can soften the edges and make the pizza slump when unmolded.
