Ingredients

  • ½ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter (or oil)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Heat molasses to boiling.

Add sugar, butter, and milk.

In a bowl, sift together flour, soda, and spices.

Add dry ingredients to moist ingredients.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet, keeping cookies 1" apart.
