Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 2 c. flour 1/4 lb.
  • soft butter 4 tsp.
  • Bakers's cocoa 1 c.
  • water 1/4 c. Crisco 1/2 c.
  • buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • ICING:
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 tsp. Baker's cocoa
  • 1/2 box powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 tsp. milk

Directions

In a large bowl mix first six ingredients.

Set aside. Mix next four ingredients and add to first mixture.

Beat until smooth.

Batter will be thin. Pour batter onto a jelly roll pan.

Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

Make icing while cake bakes.

Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Put icing on cake as soon as it comes from oven.
