Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Chocolate chips
Provide the main body and flavor, melting into the cream to form a smooth ganache.
Heavy whipping cream
Adds fat and moisture, and when hot it melts the chocolate into a silky, spreadable mixture.
Butter
Adds fat for a smoother, richer mouthfeel and a softer bite.

The step that matters

Blend until all the chocolate is dissolved and smooth. If the chocolate is not fully melted into the hot cream, small solid bits remain and the ganache can turn grainy or seize. Fully emulsified, it sets into a uniform, smooth truffle interior.
