Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Grape soft drink mix
Provides the dark color and fruity flavor of the punch.
Orange soft drink mix
Adds fruity flavor and tints the punch.
Sugar
Adds sweetness and body to the punch base.
Ginger ale
Adds carbonation, lightness and a sweet spiced flavor.

The step that matters

Add the ginger ale just before serving. Ginger ale is carbonated, and its bubbles escape over time, especially when warm. Adding it at the last moment and keeping it chilled preserves the fizz and keeps the punch crisp.
