- 1 pound dry navy beans
- 1/4 pound salt pork cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 teaspoons chopped onion
- 1/2 cup dark molasses
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt

soak beans overnight. bring to a boil in same water and simmer until tender. drain reserving liquid. preheat oven to 275. place beans and salt pork in casserole. combine cooking liquid, brown sugar,mustard, onion, molasses and salt. pour over beans then cover and bake 4 hours.
