Beat to a froth two eggs, and stir into this half a pint of milk, one teaspoonful of salt, two cups of flour; pare and core nice tart apples, cut in slices, dip them in the batter, being sure to have the apple well covered, and fry in boiling lard a delicate brown ; sprinkle with sugar or dissolve any kind of jelly in a little hot water and pour over the fritters.
