  • one pound of prunes until soft
  • one ounce of gelatine
  • a cup of sugar

Directions

Stew one pound of prunes until soft, strain the juice in which they were boiled and put in a double boiler, adding half a cup of sugar and one ounce of gelatine, that; has been soaked until soft. Let this simmer, add the prunes from which you have removed the seed; cook ten minutes. Pour into molds, set upon ice. When cold serve with cream.
