Three cups flour; rounded tablespoonful butter; i egg, beaten light; i teaspoonful salt; rounded tablespoonful lard; i cup milk, with piece of ice in it. Work into smooth dough, make into balls about size of hickory nut, roll very thin, about size of a saucer, prick with fork and bake. Makes three or four dozens.
