To Extract the Salt From Lard

Ingredients

Directions

  1. For medicinal purposes, lard which is free from salt is often required. In order to extract the salt put a tablespoon ful of lard in a tin cup, and pour on it a pint of boiling water. Set it aside to get cold. The lard will be found in a cake on the top, and the salt which it contained will remain in the water.
