1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, :! cups flour, 1 cup milk, 3 eggs, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspt)on vanilla.

Boil together for 12 minutes 2 cups brown sugar, 1 cup milk and butter^ the size of a walnut. Take from the fire, add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat until creamy. Spread between the layers and on top.

1 cup butter. 2 cups sugar. 1.} cups flour, 1 cup cornstarch, 1 cup milk, whites of 7 eggs, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tea- spoon vanilla.

Bake in a long pan or in layers.
