2 cups sugar. 6 figs, chopped fine.

1 nutmeg, grated. 1 teaspoonful cinnamon. 1 cup raisins, stoned and chopped.

Dissolve the soda in the milk before adding. Roll a quarter of an inch thick. Bake in rather a quick oven.
