Baked Apples

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Remove the cores from the tart apples.

  3. Fill each apple with brown sugar, a small amount of butter, chopped English walnuts, and a sprinkle of allspice.

  4. Place the filled apples in a baking dish and bake until tender. Serve warm.
