English Apple Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Line a pie tin with the pie crust.

  3. Fill the crust with Belleflower apples.

  4. Cover with a top crust and bake until golden.

  5. Remove from the oven and cut around the edge of the crust.

  6. Remove the top crust and mix in butter and sugar.

  7. Return the top crust and let it sit until ready to serve.
