Mustard Poultices
Ingredients
Directions
Mix dry mustard with enough cold water to make a thick paste.
Spread the smooth paste on a piece of thin old linen or cotton.
Sew it round to form a bag, ensuring it's not larger than needed.
Hold the poultice to the fire for a few minutes to warm it.
Apply the poultice for 15 to 30 minutes, then replace it with clean soft cotton or wadding.
