What each ingredient does

Lemon water ice
Provides the frozen base and sweet citrus flavour that the spirits are mixed into.
Champagne
Adds liquid and bright effervescent flavour to the frozen base.
Jamaica rum
Adds liquid and a rich, spirited flavour; alcohol also keeps the punch softer when frozen.
Maraschino liqueur
Adds sweetness and a distinct cherry-almond aroma.

The step that matters

Freeze for 4 to 5 hours after packing. Alcohol lowers the freezing point, so the punch stays softer than plain ice. Packing the container tightly and covering it limits air exposure, which helps prevent ice crystals and freezer odours from spoiling the texture and flavour.
