What each ingredient does
- Blackberries
- Provide the fruit, juice and flavour that form the wine's base.
- White sugar
- Feeds the yeast during fermentation and provides sweetness and alcohol.
- Boiling water
- Extracts juice and flavour from the mashed fruit and dilutes the must.
