To Keep Grapes

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Select fresh grape clusters.

  2. Cut the end of the stem smooth and dip it into melted sealing wax.

  3. Wrap the grapes in cotton batting.

  4. Pack them in wooden boxes and store in a dry, cool place.

  5. Alternatively, seal the cut end of the bunch to prevent air exposure.

  6. Let them stand for one day after sealing.

  7. Pack in boxes with dry sawdust, alternating layers of sawdust and grapes.

  8. Do not crowd the bunches.
