Ingredients

Directions

The book says “a hot oven”. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps is the modern equivalent, not the book's own figure.

  1. Select fresh ears of corn of similar size.

  2. Open the husks and remove all silk from the corn.

  3. Replace and tie the husks around the ears with thread.

  4. Bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 30 minutes or until tender.

  5. Remove the husks before serving.
