What each ingredient does
- Ripe cranberries
- Provide the tart fruit flavour and colour that define the wine.
- Sugar
- Sweetens the wine and provides the sugar that yeast ferments into alcohol.
- Cold water
- Draws juice and flavour out of the mashed cranberries and dilutes the mixture.
