Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Gelatine
Sets the liquid into a soft, sliceable structure as it cools.
Whipped cream
Adds fat and air, giving the set cream a light, creamy texture.
Orange juice
Adds acidity and fresh citrus flavour to balance the sweetness.
Shredded pineapple
Adds fruit flavour and texture to the set dessert.

The step that matters

Let the mixture cool until it begins to thicken. If the gelatine mixture is folded with cream while still too warm or fully set, the cream can deflate or the texture turns lumpy. Cooling until slightly thickened lets the gelatine begin to set so the cream holds its air and blends evenly.

Swap the orange
