Apple Dessert

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pare the sour apples and remove the cores without breaking them.

  2. Make a thick syrup by combining sugar and water in a pot.

  3. Add a little fruit coloring or fruit jelly to the syrup.

  4. Place the apples in the syrup in a single layer and cook until clear or done.

  5. Remove the dish from the heat and let it cool.

  6. Serve each apple in a dish with whipped cream sweetened and flavored, filling the centers with cream and topping with a candied cherry.
