Egg Timbales

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Butter timbale molds and sprinkle with chopped tongue or mushrooms.

  3. Drop an egg and a small piece of butter into each mold.

  4. Place the molds in a pan of water and bake until the eggs are set.

  5. Serve on toast with cream or tomato sauce.
