Marshmallow Sandwiches

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Brush one side of a chocolate wafer with butter.

  3. Place marshmallows between two chocolate wafers, buttered sides facing in.

  4. Bake in the oven until the marshmallows melt.

  5. Remove from the oven, brush the top with butter, and sprinkle with finely ground almonds.

Transcribed from a scanned cookbook and modernised for today's kitchens. Where the book gave no heat or time, or said "a moderate oven", the temperatures and times here may be modern equivalents rather than the book's own figures.
